warehouse sale sale sale!!

my cousin just msg-ed me today to ask me if i've updated my blog... aiseh, belum la... gonna do it now lor, it's good to be reminded coz i know she cares n actually takes de time to read my blog!!

de reason bein i haf been busy runnin around durin de weekends, goin to warehouse sales. de 1st weekend of may i made james drive me all de way to a place called queen's park mall in cheras (not to be mistaken for queensbay mall in penang!). anyways... it's de venue for de nike warehouse sale!! nuthin much caught me eye at de sale, in de end i got myself a yoga mat which was 50% off n james got imself a jordan headband.

however, all is not lost coz it's always an adventure to discover a new place!! james n myself haf not been to this part of de world (kampung betul...) n it's an interestin place to shop. The mall has an open-air concept with loads of factory outlet and end-of-season branded shoplots. since i'm headin to bali next month (can't wait!!), i paid a visit to an beach wear outlet wif brands like roxy, paul frank, etc. managed to get 3 tops for less than RM100!! i guess if u want cheap branded clothes n dun mind them being out of season, den this would be a good place for u. there's brands like MNG, Naf Naf, Esprit, CK, etc. but den dun expect much from this place either...

2nd weekend, mother's day! there's a triumph warehouse sale goin on at jaya33, i tot it would fun to bring my mom there as this is her fave brand. turns out wen we sampai that place de queue was so long... n my mom decides not to go in so we headed to 1U wif my dad n james. they need to get some clothes for their trip to beijing n also netherlands later on for my cousin's wedding. it was fun to see my dad tryin on all the winter clothing n do his dance for de whole shop to see!! even de promoter couldn't help from laughin... daddy ni, really macam budak oni...

3rd week... more warehouse sales n this time cadbury!!! it was in centro, klang n it was de 1st time i've stepped into centro after driving past it for so long. de settin for de cadbury sale was so small, n ppl were shovin chocolate left n right... everybody had a carton box to fill their chocs in, i really had to hold myself back from fillin my box to de max... sure de chocs are cheap, but de price to get rid of all de fat afterwards.....hmmmm!!!

4th week n still more sales to go to!! this time it's FJ Benjamin..... back in centro klang, i arrived there early (i think it was about 10.30am? or mebbe 11?) n i tot i would breeze thru de sale, de moment de lift open n we walked out to de alley, there was this loooooooooooooooooooong queue that was so scary as i couldn't see de front of de queue!! but luckily after a few minutes, the line was movin again n before long we were on our way inside. my 1st stop was to de La Senza corner as i needed to get some new undies but all that was left were thongs... so nvm lor, summore all de ladies were like scavengers!! dun dare to get too near, else they might bite me!! so i headed to the other sections n james was waitin for me n he already found sumthin he liked!! it was a Guess sweater RM599 now RM150... not to be outdone i went to de bags section, determined to get a nice one for myself!! i tell u, all these ppl pushin n shovin as if FJ Benjamin were givin out free bags or sumthin...so i just waited until de sea of ppl dwindle, while waitin i saw this cute little tote with pink tattoo styled roses!! gotsss to hafsss itsssssss.....

first bento attempt

last month i bought some bento picks from daiso n decided to give it a test drive...

gettin up early in de mornin is always de hardest thing for me, so i decided not to attempt any complicated stuff.....yet....

so all i did was bread n ham, sausages (octopus shape - fail) n some pears. in dis pic is james' portion...

prior to de earth hour nite, i had lunch all by myself. james had to go visit his grandma's grave, so i decided to whip up sumthin cute for myself. i present to u, my lunch...



the star shaped fishballs turned out to be very yummy-licious, gonna go get de teddy bear shaped ones next time.

my new card

my 7th credit card just came in de mail yesterday!! hehehe...

every card dat i've gotten is based purely by de looks, i know, how shallow...

but i beg to differ!!! a card is a card is a card u know... if it looks good comin out of my purse can't hurt rite? well it hurts de bank account... sure... but i gotta look good while spendin to look good, y'know??

anyways, i'm a bit reluctant to publish my card online... u can nvr be too paranoid y'know with all de fraud cases n all... but i can't resist this. so here it is, de latest plastique family member:

this is wat i hated about it tho... they went n covered james' eye!! he ain't no pirate y'all... can't u guys at least rotate de photo a tiny bit? it makes me sad... now i gotta go do some cheer-me-up shoppin... but i'm not gonna use this card, hah!!

anniversary weekend getaway

last friday, we had an anniversary weekend getaway to de Legend Water Chalet in Port Dickson. it was a short relaxin holiday for both of us... we drove there via de "old roads", it felt like a real road-trip!! along de way, we saw lots of dragon fruit trees but no fruits in sight, perhaps we could get some in PD.

we reached de resort at about 3pm and checked in. de room was very nice... there's a huge bath tub, a shower with a sky roof and a balcony for u to chill out n do some fishin or crabbin (seriously... it says so on de buletin board at de lobby!! "rent a cage for crabbing")

de chalet had a glass panel on de floor so we could see de sea... not much action goin on below our chalet tho... no sea monster swimmin by, no mermaid tappin on de glass, nuthin. however, u could stand over de glass panel like i did n pretend dat u're floatin over de sea...


de nice thing about this trip for us is dat it was totally just for us to relax, so we did not rush out of de chalet once we got there... we did not need to go to de beach just yet, we did not need to do any sight-seein, we did not need to try any good food... so we just decided to do a movie marathon instead!! we're pretty far behind on our tv series watchin, so we decided to catch up on "Medium".

later dat nite, we headed to de hotel coffee house for dinner. we had pizza... while watchin de movie that was playin in de theatre corner... after dinner, it was back to more "Medium"...

de next mornin we woke up n got ready for de beach. we drove around lookin for de perfect beach to go to. james' supervisor is from PD and he suggested we try de Bayu Bay Resort's beach. we got a little lost tryin to find de beach but in de end we finally found it, however it was close to noon so after a little walk on de beach, we decided to head into town in search of dragon fruits... those buggers are really hard to find, so i came to a conclusion dat it was not in season yet so we'll just leave it at dat.

while in PD town we had lunch and shopped at de RM2 shop there. bought some canned drinks for later at nite 2 for RM2, mentos also 2 for RM2 and a pack of kuaci for "Medium" marathon! after dat james decided we should head back to de resort to rest, coz goin to de beach at this hour i'll probably be fried extra crispy!

we headed back out for de beach around 4pm, perfect time... no more scorchin sun!! on de drive der, de sky turned dark n looked like it was gonna rain... but we still went ahead anyways, no rain is gonna stop me from buildin my sand castle!! i brought my equipment all de way here ok!!



luckily it didn't rain, i got to build my castle n visited a few crabs... all in all, a good day at de beach! on de way back to de resort, we saw a little bazaar n decided to stop there for a lil' look-see! ada pasar malam la... so we bought some ayam percik, longans, kebabs n fried mushrooms... dinner covered!!

dat nite after we finally finished our whole season of "Medium", james continued wif his NBA games n i got busy wif my Wii... i think i have at least 10 pending Wii games... so many games, so little time... james dozzed of in de middle of his game n in de midst of cookin on my Wii, i heard fireworks goin off outside... so i woke him up n ran out to de balcony! fireworks!! weeeeeeeeeee......... fireworks for our anniversary!!!


de plan was to swim at de hotel pool next mornin, but wen we got up around 9am we decided to just screw it, sleepin in is so much betta..... we checked out at noon. we're so goin back there again next time, plus there's a phase 2 work in progress at de resort n i spied a private pool to each room!!! definitely a must try!! dun get ur hopes up too much for this place tho', i had a nice experience coz i wanted a relaxin getaway, another friend who went said it was too borin, de hotel pool is too small, de food sucks n de whole shebang did not go down well wif him... so, it might not be everybody's cup of tea.

on de drive back, we stopped by at cyberjaya to pick up sumthin from a friend n i decided we should go to Mines! wat betta way to end our anniversary weekend den to visit de place wer we used to go pak-toh-ing... lots of facelift done to de mall, it looks so much nicer now!!

he also just realised it this mornin on de way to work dat it was our anniversary yesterday... and being de person who does not delete anythin in her mail (only spams are deleted) i tracked back to a mail i received about de time wen we "went steady"...

it's official!!! we've been together for 6 years!! it was 2003 wen it all began!! hahahaha.... mystery solved... women ARE great!!

and yes thank you to my ever expanding mailbox too (yahoo!)... AND did u know, i even have mails in there from 2001 (yikes!).....

this was taken way back in 2006, we had lunch at this japanese place called "Genji" at PJ Hilton. it was a farewell lunch for a colleague... 5 of us girls were clownin around de whole time n makin so much noise too! fortunately we were placed in the private tatami dining rooms so damage to de lady-like rep was kept at a minimal...

oooh.... look at my ol' skool phone man!! at dat time it was de COOLEST phone i had, sebab ada camera lor... wassup!!

eggs are no longer boring

hard boiled eggs are no longer de same as they were!! some time ago i got into de sushi makin craze, den as i explored a lil' more, i found bento! food made cute...

anyways, long story short... i found out dat u can actually mould eggs into wat eva shape dat u wan!! fancy dat!! i was just a few clicks away from buyin those mould online wen i decided to google more about it 1st... i mean, wif all this japan-crazed ppl here in m'sia, i'm sure there has to be an easier way to get it other than ebay n all those online shops...

lo n behold!! i found a few mentions about the moulds bein sold in "100 yen" shops and also "daisho" in de curve... so durin de weekend, i made james drive me all de way to de nearest 100 yen shop (ss2) to get my mould! n i found it! for only RM4.90!! can u imagine?!!? if i bought it online it would have cost me RM12.00 not includin another RM6.00 for postage... gosh!!

i got de fish n car mould... dats de only one available in 100 yen ss2, will try to check out daisho next as my next mould target is de star n heart shape wans.

n i can't bloody tell!!! if she's doin it on purpose - de lady has got some skills at keepin a straight face... but if it was accidental den her eyes are everywer like someone guilty!! anyway... u judge for urself...

steal, pick & snatch

last saturday a colleague had her handbag snatched , de previous saturday another colleague fell victim to a pick-pocket n de saturday before dat some pervie stole my bras...

sigh...

how can some people be so bad? so mean? so perverted?

sure u can say "lucky for her, only her bag was snatched n she was not stabbed ", "lucky for her it was just a pick-pocket n not a robber/rapist" or "lucky for u, they just stole ur bra n not rob ur home"...

but just by sayin that or even thinkin it, doesn't it mean dat we've come to accept it? that we're ok with de crime? it's ok dat de crime happened just as long as there's a bright side of things?

i guess there's really nuthin we can do, wat other people do to u is completely out of ur control, but then u control wat u do to other people... so go forth n spread some love!! make sure all de children around u grow up with enough love and education so they will have only love and knowledge for future n leave hate behind...

valentine revelation

on valentine's day, i ran into de room n sort of had this conversation wif him:

me: how long haf we been together?
james: umm... 7 years?
me: are we startin de 7th year or endin edy?
james: should be... wait...
(n den we tracked back to wen it started or wen we think it started n so on n so forth until we came to a conclusion)
me: dat means we've been together for 6 years!
james: n we've been tellin ppl it's 7!
me: hmmmmmm..... ok...

weird conversation to haf on valentine's day... well, doesn't really matter if it was 6 or 7 i guess. he still loves me today as he did 6 (or 7?) years ago, still layan my every whim n can still tahan my tantrums... no point rememberin ur anniversary down to de minute if u can't stand each other after a few years...

i'm happy, i'm loved...

time flies...

it feels like a week ago, in my dorm... procrastinatin my assignment, i decided to start my own blog... "me bitchin" was wat i planned to do... march 2005 it was...

blink once, blink twice... it's now february 2009... (dammit! i blinked too fast)...

4 years flew right by just like dat! haf it not been for this abandoned blog, i probably won't realise how fast de clock has been tickin... (thank u blog for remindin me of my mortality)

i woke up today with de urge to pick up wer i left off 4 years ago, so this is me... doin sumthin i wanted to do (4 years back) and not let time sneak up on me like de last time... hopefully (fingers crossed!)
